Hallet
Handknits imports original alpaca sweater
designs. Products include handknit and
handloomed alpaca sweaters for men and
women. Additional products are alpaca fur
bears.
Hallet
sweaters are defined by a sophisticated
color palette. Design motifs include
novelty looks for women and updated
traditional looks for men. Patterns are
handrawn and we consider our sweaters to
be an expression of art in
knitting.
PRODUCTION METHODS
The primary
method of production is handknitting and
hand intarsia. Most sweaters take
approximately 8 - 10 days to complete,
although some complicated handknit styles
can take a month. Many people are involved
in the finishing details which include
tucking in the ends of yarn, making and
attaching collars and cuffs, making button
holes and sewing on buttons, and washing
and ironing. Attention to detail makes
Hallet sweaters superior.
A secondary
method of production is machine made
sweaters. These styles are made with the
same care and quality, but are primarily
solid styles.
Design
enhancements include interesting textures,
colors, combinations of materials,
embroidery stitches, ribbons and unique
buttons.

prices for Hallet Handknit's alpaca
sweaters range from $93 to $144. Price is
determined by type of production, garment
weight, and degree of difficulty. Minimum
